Art 1 students at Brashier have recently explored the phenomenon of synesthesia: the neurological condition in which a person experiences crossed responses to stimuli around them. In this particular project, art teacher Shannon Forehand encouraged students to listen to music and then use different mediums to create their artwork. Students practiced the technique with songs assigned to them, then they chose eight songs that held a deeper, more personal meaning. Many Bengals were excited with this project because it was different from anything they had ever done before, and they were eager to show off all their hard work. (Photograph taken by Liz Simo)
