What do cars, jewelry, tampons, and pads all have in common? They’re all considered luxury items, meaning they’re taxed higher than necessities, such as food, medical supplies, and condoms.  According to Bustle, the states where the tax is exempt are New York, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Oregon, Montana, New Hampshire, Delaware, and Alaska. That leaves 39 states that have a tax ranging from 3% to 13% on tampons....
