Every student at Brashier was loaded with work…

But the Grinch, who was visiting, watched with a smirk.

The Grinch saw these students working hard to enjoy the season.

Still hating Christmas, he did not want them to have a reason.

…. the Grinch came up with an idea to steal everyone’s homework and took every pencil and piece of paper just two days before break…

All of the students were still in their beds, unaware of what happened in the past hour.

Every project, report, and even math homework too.

They were going to be oh so sour,

For wherever this missing work had gone there wasn’t a clue.

Upon waking, every student was panicked.

Days of work down the drain.

On the way to school, in a frantic,

Thinking of their projects quite in pain.

“Wait, what are they doing?” said the Grinch realizing how much they care.

Every student talking to teachers, trying to replace their assignments.

Gathering to say a long prayer,

For their teachers understanding they were reliant.

“It’s the holiday season,

So please don’t stress it,

Free 100s for that very reason,

No need to fret,” said all the teachers.

The Grinch realized he hadn’t stopped anything,

Learning once again the power of Christmas.

No need for lying,

He returned all the work hoping for forgiveness.

The Brashier kids all shouted, “I love Christmas!”

And all was once again great,

All the kids waiting for their wishes,

To have a very merry date.
